STALLIONS
We are currently standing two stallions, Mr Blue Tailwind and Playboys Blue Pine. Both are available to the public for breeding. We turn them out on pasture with their band of mares on May 5th of every year. Prior to that time they may be available for hand breeding. Our stallions offer tremendous dispositions, good minds, correct conformation, athletic ability and functionality.

Mr Blue Tailwind is an extremely consistent sire producing offspring that have excelled in the arena, the ranch, at weekend shows and on the trail. These colts are very versatile and are quick learning talented individuals that are only limited by what they are asked to do. Mr Blue Tailwind was never campaigned due to injury as a two year old.

Playboys Blue Pine is an extremely talented horse. We purchased him at 9 years old and he had not been shown. He hadn’t been ridden since he was 2, but we saddled him up and he rode off like he had been ridden all his life. Weeks later he was used in a youth rodeo by a 13 year old girl with little experience, in 5 events. We knew then that this horse was truly special. His first year we bred only one mare, as our other studs had already been turned out on pasture with their broodmare bands. That first offspring, a filly, KNM Play Four Penny, will likely never leave our place. She has a perfect 15-1 hand muscular build, is super cowy and takes to everything we show her. As the rest of his foals come of age, we feel confident that they will be just like her.
Playboy’s sire is none other than Playboys Buck Fever, a horse that Nikki deeply admired and dreamed of owning a son. He was a NCHA and NRCHA earner of $62,246, and is an NRCHA Supreme Reined Cow Horse and sired 2 NRCHA Supreme Reined Cow horses, the association’s highest honor. Playboy’s Buck Fever offspring have earned more then $375,000.

Mister Tackadial was an athlete; a sire of 2 AQHA World Show multiple year qualifiers, a Dakota 50/50 Futurity Grand Champion, a Dakota 50/50 Amateur Champion, and a 3-time Dakota 50/50 Maturity Champion, in addition to many weekend show horses, rope and ranch horses. One of his best legacies will be in the broodmares he produced. Those mares are now crossing extremely well on our current stallions.

Twist Your Eyes was a once-in-a-lifetime horse for Nikki’s dad, Chuck Leonard, and really for the whole family. He accomplished his AQHA Championship from May-July of is 3-year-old year, and then came home to breed mares and to teach the entire family to rope. At one time our broodmare band was 100% his offspring, and now consists of granddaughters, but his legacy lives on.
